| What's new on G2 version? | - the kit has a lot more work done on it so that it is truly an ARF, not a kit.
- the engine was moved forward slightly to eliminate the lead to balance the plane
- the cowl is slightly larger and longer to accomodate the engine and muffler better
- a DA-85 was tested and works very well. The DA-50 and Zenoah G-62 work also
- new retracts were developed. These retracts are very strong and work great so they do not need to be replaced.
- we changed to covering to use silk on the wings and stabs. This is much better looking over the long term.
- The fuselage was lengthed slightly in the nose to help the CG. The fuselage was strengthened in some areas and is all fiberglass.
- A pilot and instrument panel have been developed.
- weight of the plane is just 25 lbs instead of 31 lbs. This is because the lead was eliminated from the nose. Depending on the engine used, the amount of lead needed to balance was up to 7 lbs.
- We have a 3 piece wing system so that the center section of the wing including the retracts and flaps can stay on the plane! No flipping the plane over for assembly at the field and it rolls around easily. This makes it much easier to get around at the field. |
